We are here to help your pocket pets live happy, healthy lives!

Full-Service Pet Wellness Care

Quality care for your rabbit or pocket pet
We’re happy to take care of many types of pets for Noblesville and surrounding areas. All the services we provide for cats and dogs, we also provide for rabbits, pocket pets, and even ferrets too! Small mammals require the same amount of care as cats and dogs. You have to clean a cage regularly and learn your pet’s special behavioral needs, so sometimes, they may require more attention. At Noble West Animal Hospital, we’re fully equipped to take care of small mammals, including rabbits and pocket pets.

Keeping Rabbits Healthy

At Noble West, we’re proud to take care of the unique needs of rabbits. Their needs can be simultaneously similar to traditional pets, but our experience and expertise provide them with quality care. Rabbits should receive annual wellness visits. Since they’ve been preyed on by many animals in the wild, they are genetically predisposed to hide pain and discomfort. If they showed any signs of illness, they appeared more vulnerable! Please ask us about bringing in a fecal sample, so we can run the proper in-house diagnostic tests during the examination. Rabbits can contract intestinal parasites, like whipworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and roundworms. Please contact us with any questions about caring for rabbits. If you’ve recently brought a new rabbit home, schedule a wellness examination, so we can discuss behavioral, nutritional, and veterinary care.

Keeping Pocket Pets Healthy

Pets like gerbils, hamsters, mice, and guinea pigs have many of the same needs as their larger mammal counterparts, like cats and dogs. Though their biological systems are smaller, they can still be affected by fleas and parasites. All pocket pets require annual or biannual physical examinations to check for parasites, bacteria, and yeast. At Noble West Animal Hospital, we can advise you on how to best care for your small mammal and create a schedule of care. Many small critters have biologically experienced many predators, so they can become upset and nervous easily. It’s important to give them a comfortable, quiet place in your home. Never allow children to pick rodents up by their tails. Please contact us for more information about our rabbit or pocket pet care services at Noble West Animal Hospital. We look forward to taking care of you and your companion animal!
